Does the word “Hustle” conjure
images of Travolta line dancing in his bell bottom pants and
famous disco pose? Well that image couldn’t be further from the
Hustle we dance today! While it does have its roots in New York
City’s mid 70’s, it is now a contemporary dance, always evolving
and maintaining its popularity. Hustle is not a form of swing
dancing; rather its roots are in the hot Latin dances,
incorporated with elements of several other dance styles.
Hustle is a partner dance that
is oriented to a slot. The slot can rotate, change, and travel
in a fluid fashion. Elements of sophisticated body positioning
and arm styling derived from ballroom and ballet enable Hustle
dancers to be expressive and graceful. Hustle also incorporates
bold, funky, and flirtatious footwork and syncopations.
Chad teaches the latest in Hustle techniques, patterns and styling for all levels of Hustle.
All levels welcome. No partner necessary.

Ballroom Bash Dance Parties Continue!
Due to the growing popularity of this event, Ballroom Bash dance
parties are now regularly scheduled for the third Saturday of
each month.
May 19, 7:30 to 11pm
$10 per person at the door;
Dressy/Casual attire; please wear soft-soled shoes
Ballroom Bash dance parties offer fun for dancers at all levels.
We provide great music, refreshments, door prizes and a
comfortable setting to meet new people and improve confidence. YOU provide the dancin' feet. Couples and Singles of all dance
levels welcome.
Includes a
half-hour lesson
from Chad providing tips on how to navigate the dance floor amidst dancers of
all talent levels. Special guest dance champions often in
attendance. Music includes a wide variety of recorded
Ballroom, Latin, Tango & Swing plus nightclub mix of West Coast
Swing, Hustle, Salsa & MORE!
