Great Dance Instruction, Great Rates

Chad offers three instruction options: Private Lessons, Private Group Lessons and Special Event Lessons/Demonstrations. Also, to facilitate instruction of the more advanced student, Coaching Sessions are available.

Private Lessons
The best approach to an accelerated learning experience - private dance lessons!
Offered to either individuals or couples, private lessons are 45 minutes in duration and start promptly at the scheduled date and time. Advanced reservations are required.

Lessons are typically conducted at The Academy of Ballroom Dance in Phoenix. Additionally, arrangements can be made for instruction at several other locations throughout the Phoenix Metropolitan area. Private Lesson rates are $85 for individual instruction and $80 for couples instruction at the Academy of Ballroom Dance. Purchase 10 lessons in advance and save $50! Purchase 20 lessons in advance and save $200!! Rates for lessons in Scottsdale are slightly higher.

Please note that due to a demanding personal schedule, Chad must enforce a strict "no-show" policy. A 24-hour cancellation notice is required to avoid charge. If a student does not show or is late for a scheduled lesson, time is lost. If, in the very uncommon event that Chad is late, time will be made up either on the scheduled day of instruction or as soon as possible thereafter. Video taping of an entire private lesson is permitted for a fee of $40 or $15 for a recap of the lesson.

Video taping arrangements must be made in advance so as not to disturb other lessons in progress and a current, signed release form must be on file.

Private Group Lessons
A great way to have fun with friends and gain a valuable social skill - private group lessons!
Two or more couples can share the learning experience at a reduced group rate. As with private lessons, group lessons are 45 minutes in duration (or longer when prior arrangements are made) and start promptly at the scheduled date and time. Advanced reservations are required and flexibility in scheduling will likely be necessary in that "floor time" for groups must be secured so as not to conflict with other studio events and regular instruction schedules. Private Group rates are $70 for the first couple plus $10 for each additional person (per lesson). If 10 or more private group lessons are purchased in advance, these rates are reduced to $65 and $10, respectively. The "no-show" and "video taping" policies as described under Private Lessons also apply to private group lessons.

Coaching Sessions For the more dedicated dance student, coaching is a phenomenal way to advance skills more quickly. Coaching is often employed to reach higher levels of dance capability, to resolve difficult technical problems, to prepare for special functions and/or competitions and to generally widen and deepen the student's knowledge of dance. In a typical coaching session, two dance professionals focus their combined talents on helping the student improve style, technique and fluidity. A great advantage of coaching sessions is exposure to some of the best dancers and teachers of dance in the world. And one of the best in the world lives and works right here in the Phoenix metropolitan area. Meet Jenell! For the past four years, Chad has partnered with Jenell to offer the finest coaching experience available anywhere! And students in the area are not burdened with the often excessive expenses of travel and lodging usually associated with bringing coaches of such caliber into the studio from out-of-state locations. Jenell lives and works in the area, and that translates to an affordable coaching experience! Jenell's coaching rate is $90 per lesson plus the applicable instructor's rate. The instructor's rate during a coaching session is the same as the normal Private Lesson rate unless 10 or more coaching sessions are booked in advanced. In the latter case, the instructor's rate will be reduced by 30% to encourage ongoing coaching and accelerated learning! Note that Chad also works with other professional dance coaches with varying rate schedules.
